Victor Frankenstein Trailer: James McAvoy & Daniel Radcliffe Create a Man

James McAvoy is Victor Frankenstein and Daniel Radcliffe is his protégé Igor Strausman in this twist on Mary Shelley’s beloved story.

Paul McGuigan (The Wrong Man – aka Lucky Number Slevin, Push) directs from a screenplay by Max Landis (Chronicle, American Ultra), and it’s all looking a little too pop for our liking.

There’s certainly energy to spare, but we’re not digging the fact the new trailer seems to show off yet another PG-13, action-focused, forgettable rendition of a classic horror story. If I, Frankenstein comes to mind, our wariness jumps through the roof.

Then again, McAvoy and Radcliffe could provide a bit of entertainment with their banter and this new take may very well prove to be a fun outing. Fingers crossed.

Victor Frankenstein, also starring Jessica Brown Findlay, Andrew Scott, and Freddie Fox, will be getting a U.S. release on November 25 and an Australian release on November 26.
