A new trailer has been released for The Secret Life of Pets, this one giving us a look at the cute but tough little character voiced by Kevin Hart.

Illumination Entertainment have had huge success with their Despicable Me franchise, spinoff Minions brought in a huge $1.1 billion at the worldwide box office, and their latest could very well prove to be another big hit.

Featuring a voice cast that includes Louis C.K., Eric Stonestreet, Lake Bell, Albert Brooks, and Steve Coogan, The Secret Life of Pets tells the story of a terrier (Louis C.K.) whose position as his master’s whole world is threatened when Duke (Stonestreet), a sloppy mongrel, becomes part of the household. The two are forced to put their differences aside when they realise they have to stop Snowball (Hart), a bunny leading abandoned pets on a mission to get back at humanity.

The animation looks fantastic and the concept is fun. Following on from that first great trailer, this new marketing piece further provides confidence by giving us more energetic footage from the film and serving up an amusing look at Hart’s lively voice work. We’re looking forward to this one.

The Secret Life of Pets will hit the U.S. on July 8 and Australia on September 8.
