‘Incredibles 2’ Teaser Trailer: Our Beloved Superhero Family is Back

The first teaser trailer for Disney•Pixar’s Incredibles 2 has arrived!

That’s right, we’re getting a sequel almost 14 years after the release of Pixar’s oscar-winning superhero picture. The Parrs are back, and they’re in for a whole new adventure when a new villain arises. There’s also the matter of baby Jack-Jack, whose superpowers are still emerging.

The teaser below doesn’t offer up too much – and it shouldn’t this early on the marketing trail – but it does nicely place the spotlight on little Jack-Jack. The plot will find Bob (Craig T. Nelson) at home taking care of this superpowered infant while Helen’s (Holly Hunter) on a mission, and it looks like Mr. Incredibles’ going to have his hands full.

The first hit film has long remained a standout in Pixar’s impressive line-up, so it’s somewhat surprising that it’s taken this long for a follow-up to arrive. Better late than never. With Brad Bird (The Iron Giant, Ratatouille, Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol) back as writer and director, it appears we should be in very safe hands for a quality sequel.

The Incredibles 2, which will also bring back  Sarah Vowell and Samuel L. Jackson as the voices of Violet and Frozone, and introduce Huck Milner as the new voice of Dash, will arrive in Australia on June 14 and hits the US on June 15, 2018.

Official synopsis for The Incredibles 2:

Everyone’s favorite family of superheroes is back in “Incredibles 2” – but this time Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is in the spotlight, leaving Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell) and Dash (voice of Huck Milner) to navigate the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life. It’s a tough transistion for everyone, made tougher by the fact that the family is still unaware of baby Jack-Jack’s emerging superpowers. When a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot, the family and Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) must find a way to work together again—which is easier said than done, even when they’re all Incredible.
