‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’ TV Spot Offers Up More Chewie

Lucasfilm

A new TV spot has arrived for the highly-anticipated film Solo: A Star Wars Story, unveiling a little more interaction between our titular scoundrel and his future copilot, Chewbacca.

“So what’s your name anyway?” The upcoming standalone Star Wars film will be giving us a look at how Han (Alden Ehrenreich) and Chewie (Joonas Suotamo) first met and became the buddies we came to love. At least from that major trailer and the short 45-second spot below, it appears that seeing Han and Chewie getting to know each other will offer up some charm and laughs, although whether these younger versions do the characters justice overall remains to be seen.

The weights of expectation is no doubt heavy; all eyes are on the first reactions that come from the film’s Cannes premiere on May 15. Fingers firmly crossed.

Solo: A Star Wars Story, also starring Donald Glover, Emilia Clarke, Woody Harrelson, Thandie Newton, Paul Bettany and Jon Favreau, will be arriving in Australia on May 24 and opens in the U.S. on May 25.
