First Trailer Drops for ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’

Lucasfilm / Disney

Considering Solo: A Star Wars Story will be hitting cinemas in around four months, it’s about freakin’ time the first official trailer arrives.

Lucasfilm has dropped an official teaser trailer following on from the first look we got with the Super Bowl spot. Although it’s classified as a “teaser”, there’s a decent amount of footage on offer, showcasing some of Alden Ehrenreich’s (Hail, Caesar!) take on the character, a look at the great supporting cast (including Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke and Donald Glover) and some gorgeous action.

Do we need a Han Solo film? Probably not, considering Harrison Ford’s run with the character felt like a satisfying enough arc without the need to go back, at least for this writer. But that’s down to individual preference, and let’s be honest, if done right, this could be a fun standalone picture to add to the Star Wars universe. Fingers firmly crossed.

Solo: A Star Wars Story will arrive in Australia on May 24 and hits the U.S. on May 25.
