Netflix has dropped some exciting new images from Marvel’s The Punisher, the upcoming series that will find Jon Bernthal reprising his role as ruthless ass-kicker Frank Castle.

Bernthal delivered a damn fine turn as The Punisher in Daredevil‘s second season, engulfing himself in the role and commanding every moment he was on screen. We’ve been waiting with bated breath since for his own run, and it isn’t too far away. Well, it doesn’t seem too far away, seeing as Netflix is having fun withholding that release date. Expect it to drop later this year.

Apart from Bernthal, the series will also bring back Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, who is featured in a number of the new images below. Also pictured are a number of new faces to the Netflix Marvel-verse, including Ben Barnes (Westworld) as Billy Russo, who, in the comics, goes from the nickname “Beaut” to “Jigsaw”; Ebon Moss-Bachrach as David Lieberman, aka Microchip in the comics; and Michael Nathanson and Amber Rose Revah as homeland security agents Sam Stein and Dinah Madani.

On board as showrunner, executive producer and writer is Steve Lightfoot, whose TV credits include executive producing and writing NBC’s Hannibal.
