Showtime has released the official trailer for Our Cartoon President, the upcoming animated series targeting U.S. President Donald J. Trump.

Executive produced by Stephen Colbert and Late Show exec producer Christ Licht, Our Cartoon President follows what the synopsis describes as “the tru-ish misadventures” of Trump, his family, and his advisors.

The tweet-loving, self-proclaimed “like, really smart” Prez provides plenty of forehead slapping shenanigans on his own, so it remains to be seen just how much this series can compete with the White House administration’s very real antics.

Talking to the media at the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour, Colbert said the series will have more of a character-focused narrative as opposed to attempting to keep up with the rapidly changing current affairs.

“I am well aware of how fast the news moves these days. The show does not exist to serve that. The show is the interpersonal relationships of the people you don’t get to see.”

Apart from Trump (voiced by renowned voice-artist/impressionist Jeff Bergman, who’s many credits include Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Homer Simpson, Fred Flintstone and George Jetson), the cast of real-life characters depicted include First Daughter Ivanka Trump, the President’s sons Eric and Don Jr., and Sen. Ted Cruz.

The 11-episode, half-hour animated parody series will be kicking off on Showtime on February 11.
