Take a look at the trailer for I Feel Pretty, the upcoming comedy starring Amy Schumer.
Like a bit of a spin on Shallow Hal, I Feel Pretty tells of woman who knocks her head and wakes up believing she is jaw-droppingly beautiful. After feeling insecure and inadequate for so long, she now tackles life with confidence.
There’s no denying the film’s carrying a sweet, important message, although just how heavy handed it all is remains to be seen. Schumer fans will surely have a lot of fun with this, while others my find the cringe factor that seems to be present a little hard to surpass. We’ll see.
This marks the feature directorial debut for writers Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein, whose screenwriting credits include Never Been Kissed, Valentine’s Day, The Vow and How to Be Single.
I Feel Pretty, also starring Michelle Williams, Tom Hopper, Rory Scovel, Busy Philipps, Lauren Hutton, Naomi Campbell and Emily Ratajkowski, will arrive in Australia on June 28 and hits the U.S. on June 29.
