Take a look at the exciting new trailer and featurette Paramount has dropped for A Quiet Place, the upcoming horror film starring Emily Blunt and John Krasinski.
The film’s concept is relatively simple: in a post-apocalyptic type of world, a family survives by ensuring they keep as silent as possible, less mysterious creatures hear them. It appears to be mostly about the tension in this one, and boy does it look like we’re in for a nerve-wracking time.
At least from the trailers so far, Krasinski looks to be flexing his performance and directorial muscles nicely, and the always-reliable Blunt has quite the emotive role to take on as a pregnant mother in the midst of horrific circumstances. The kids seems to be on point as well; Noah Jupe delivered a strong turn in George Clooney’s Suburbicon (even if the film was… not great).
“This movie is extremely scary and so emotional,” Krasinski, who also co-wrote the script, says in the marketing featurette below. “It’s a really intense experience.” Fingers crossed, John. Fingers crossed.
A Quiet Place will be hitting U.S. cinemas on April 6 and arrives in Australia on May 3.
